FYI. We had no cell service there and neither did other campers we spoke to. We had to drive into the little area of Jamaica to get a signal. No biggie except when you want to check weather. The little grocer in Jamaica was great for grabbing a coffee and picking up provisions.

I would return here again. There were other trails to be explored.

Beautiful and large camp ground with decent bathrooms and it's right at a white water put in/take out for the West river.

Hiked from the parking lot to Hamilton falls..it was the day after a big rainstorm so the falls were quite impressive! The falls are much bigger and more splendid than the pictures make it seem. On the way back from Hamilton falls I went to the overlook trail...which will lead you back to the campground. The overlook doesn't add much to your overall distance and it's well worth it if you have some up and down left in your legs. All of the trails were well marked and easy to follow.

Cool little State Park. There's obviously a fee to get in but if you're going to stay a day it certainly worth it

Jamaica state Park is a great place for a day picnic or just for a walk along the river. The campsite are great.the lean to sites are right along the river. So you can fall asleep to the sound of water

We spent 2 nights here during an RV trip in July. There are no hook ups available at the site but there is a dump station. A nice variety of camping spots available and it was very quiet. A really beautiful area. From the campgrounds there is very easy access to Salmon Hole, a great swimming hole along the river. I would recommend riding bikes on the path along the river to the trailhead leading to Hamilton Falls. Its a good hike to walk it all the way with kids. The people who knew better rode their bikes. The hike to the Falls is a moderate climb. The waterfall was beautiful. We had it to ourselves for about 20 minutes and waded in the lower pools. Do not attempt to climb the falls. The rocks are very slippery.
